Pantai Cenang is the most developed beach in Langkawi, on the south coast of the island. It has a 2 km stretch and is full of water sports and other activities. At one end of the beach is the Pantai Tengah, lesser crowded and more sophisticated than the other beach.
Beaches at Teluk Datai and Tanjung Rhu, have some of the best beaches in the area but they can be only accessed by the people putting up at the beach resorts.

Freedom beach is another white sand beach with turquoise waters, which can be accessed by a boat ride from Patong.
Bang Toa beach, Tri Tra beach, and Laem Ka beach are also great for water sports and swimming activities. The Ko Phi Phi and Krabi islands are also great spots for enjoying your vacations.

The uncrowded and lesser explored beach found in this region is the second largest beach in the south-east Asia and much less populated.
